The Oregon Trail is a computer game originally developed by Don Rawitsch, Bill Heinemann, and Paul Dillenberger in and produced by MECC in The original game was designed to teach school children about the realities of 19th century pioneer life on the Oregon Trail. The player assumes the role of a wagon leader guiding his party of settlers from Independence. It says it in the description of the original Oregon Trail game, I'm not sure why it wasn't put on here. Make sure you have all adware/popup blockers disabled, as they can cause the game to not work. These games were fairly recently put up, so they are still in the process of working out bugs. The game is exactly as I remember it! Love it! The Oregon Trail incorporates simulation elements and planning ahead, it doesn't have a box in the bottom hat expands, nor does a click open a new tab. No, it opened a new page. Why was this a problem? Well, I wasn't done playing! It will follow the entire 1, mile Oregon National Historic Trail. Can I use a screen print from the game.
